Last updated 31 October 2026

This policy explains how Deepblue Direct UK Limited (“Deep Blue Direct”, “we”, “us”) uses personal information. We are a company registered in England and Wales, number 13450238, at Elmwood House, York Road, Kirk Hammerton, YO26 8DH, and we are the controller of the information described here.

What we collect

  • Enquiries. When you use the form on our website we collect your name, business name, trade, where you work, your email address, phone number and anything you tell us about the work you want.
  • Client material. When you work with us, we receive the photographs, videos, voice notes and job details you send, plus any access you give us to your website, Google Business Profile or social media accounts.
  • Billing. Your business contact details, invoices and payment records.
  • Correspondence. Emails, calls and messages between us.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about our services.
  • To build and host your website, manage your local search presence and create and publish social media content for your business.
  • To invoice you and keep proper accounts.
  • To keep our services running securely.

We rely on the following lawful bases: taking steps you’ve asked for before a contract and performing that contract; our legitimate interest in running and improving our business; and our legal obligations, for example keeping financial records. We don’t sell personal information.

Material you supply for publication

Photographs, videos and other content you send us are used to create content for your business. Before sending images showing your customers, their homes or their property, please make sure you have their permission. You remain responsible for the content you ask us to publish.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of providers to run our business:

  • Cloudflare hosts our website, stores enquiries and delivers enquiry notifications.
  • Zoho provides our email.
  • Our accounting and payment providers, for invoicing.
  • Google, Facebook, Instagram and other platforms, when we publish content or manage profiles on your behalf.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to work: up to 12 months.
  • Client and billing records: six years after our agreement ends.
  • Client material: for the length of our agreement. After that, we’ll return or delete it on request.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else. Email marketing@deepbluetrademarketing.com. We’ll respond within one month, and there’s no charge.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
